A landscape architecture thesis proposing the reuse of the Ninfeo Bramante in Genazzano as a theatre and public garden. The design brings heritage conservation into dialogue with public access and performance. A lightweight canopy over the event space, paths and ramps, garden walls and layered planting sit alongside the historic remains, with contemporary additions maintaining a distinct identity.

A landscape around the Ninfeo
Historic drawings, the site survey and environmental mapping establish a reading of the Ninfeo and its setting in Genazzano. The proposal develops from the relationship between the monument, the terrain and the town.

Theatre and public garden
The boards examine the building’s history and condition alongside topography, climate, water and vegetation. The masterplan connects the garden to the town, organises access across changing levels and retains a sequence of views towards the monument.

The canopy and its structure
The canopy model and details explain the theatre’s spatial organisation alongside planting plans and garden sections. Seasonal change, height and texture guide planting choices and the transition from the event space to quieter parts of the garden.
