An environmental design study in Rome’s Flaminio district, moving from climate and urban analysis to buildings and open space. Sun, wind, shade and the balance of solid and void are studied alongside circulation and vegetation. The masterplan links built volumes with shared spaces and planted routes, while paving and parking form part of a surface-water strategy.

Urban functions, ground conditions, ecological connections and climate are read together. Wind and solar studies provide a basis for comparing the design alternatives.

Open space and permeable ground
Details combine permeable blocks, gravel, grass and vehicle-bearing surfaces. Sections and views show how this ground treatment relates to trees, pedestrian movement and building edges.
